Building on Experiences during the COVID-19 Pandemic to Enhance Disability Inclusion in Higher Education in Kenya

Dear Staff and Students

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD), Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB) and Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA) have organized celebrations to mark the International Day of Persons with Disability (IDPD) on Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd December, 2021 from 8am to 4pm at the Great Court and Taifa Hall, Main Campus.

The celebrations this year at the University of Nairobi are geared towards showcasing the efforts that the University is making to enhance inclusion and provide a context for discussing strategies that the higher education sector and the country in General need to deploy to build onto some gains during the COVID-19 pandemic period such as adoption of online learning while addressing the emerging and recurring challenges.
