On January 16th, 2021, BD Njuguna, Registrar Planning Department mobilised the University of Nairobi, Mamlaka Flats residents where I reside and embarked on a beautification project involving the planting of 100 fruit, herbal and ornamental trees in the estate. All residents who are UoN staff and their families were involved.
Three months later, the efforts are bearing fruits. With the onset of long rains, God has lend a deserved hand and the trees are doing very well with a 100% survival rate.
