Over 6,000 Kenyans marked the second International Yoga day celebrations at the University grounds on Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Planning Registrar, Mr. Bernard D. Njuguna joined other dignitaries to do Yoga exercises that included warm-up exercises, stretching, sun salutation, rhythmic control of breathing and meditation among others.

Speaking during the event, as one of the event partners, the University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Peter Mbithi highlighted the importance of Yoga which include; healing of diseases, relaxation of the body, mind and soul.
