University of Nairobi Set to Admit Fresher’s

The University of Nairobi is ready to receive first year students for the Academic Calendar 2016/2017 scheduled to commence in September, 2015.

The students have been selected for various degree programmes. According to the Academic Registrar, Mr. Ben Waweru, the University will register the new students on Monday, September 14, 2015 at their respective colleges. 

The University has dedicated one week for orientation which will be to a large extent, college based. The students will be being exposed in detail to the facilities in their respective colleges and campuses and in general to those of the entire University.

The highlight of the orientation week is the address by University officials and the final address by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi, on Thursday September 17, 2015, which all freshers are expected to attend.

The orientation week is meant to assist the students settle down and adjust to the new life with ease.  Various aspects that will form part of the student’s lifestyle during their stay in the University will be addressed.

The University congratulates and welcomes all the students who have been selected for various degree programmes at this premier university.
